The snow peak of Mount Katahdin was like a mystery.

I recommend continuing on to Jackson Pond, another 0.2 miles farther on the trail, as you can see Doubletop Mountain and other peaks in the backdrop of the peaceful pond. Katahdin Stream, 3 Trout Brook Farm is one of the Parks quietest campgrounds and provides a great base for exploring Matagamon Lake and backcountry hiking and camping in the northern part of the Park.

My personal favourite is Daicey Pond. Along with Cabin #5, these would be the ones where youd get the most foot traffic as they along the trails to the other cabins.
